NJ Governor Launches 24/7 Free Mental Health Services for College Students

Looking for mental health resources but your insurance doesn’t cover it? Well, you might just be in luck!

Recently Governor Murphy announced a program that would provide New Jersey college students with free, 24/7 mental health aid. An article detailing this announcement will be made available on this article.

Who did they partner with?
Uwill: A community of licensed therapists that can be reached immediately based on a student’s needs and preferences. They provide video, phone, chat, and message options for communication and are at no cost to students regardless of whether they have referrals or insurance.

This company typically partners with colleges to provide resources for their campuses and now, they partnered with Governor Murphy’s administration to aid students across New Jersey’s higher education institutions.

What is funding this?
The state collected $10 million from coronavirus relief funds and an additional $16 million that was already set aside to provide mental health care for college students.
