Prior to this visit, Promly was the first group to be instrumental in successfully advocating for “youth representation” to be included in Senator Blackburn’s and Senator Blumenthal’s bipartisan efforts to foster a safer environment for kids online with KOSA (The Kids Online Safety Act). Promly also pushed the FTC to build youth representation in their data privacy recommendations as Promly knows how critical it is to work directly with young people to drive better youth policy outcomes.

Recognized for their innovative approach to empowering young individuals, Promly was invited to engage with Congressional representatives and their teams to discuss ways to support and amplify youth-led initiatives and policy related projects.

The itinerary for Promly's visit to Washington, D.C., included meetings with members of Congress from both sides of the aisle, representing diverse districts and constituencies. These meetings explored the challenges and opportunities young people face in making a difference and creating a positive impact in their communities and with technology.
